Canvas and Beans is a cozy café and art studio nestled in Sahakar Nagar, Bengaluru, blending casual dining with creative expression under one roof. It’s a spot where locals, families, and groups settle in not just for a cup of coffee, but for an experience that encourages painting and crafting alongside simple, satisfying meals.

This space stands out as much for its laid-back vibe as its creative offerings. During weekends or after-school hours, you’ll find a mix of families with kids engaged in painting projects, friends catching up over cappuccinos, and occasional birthday parties making use of the small dedicated party area. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, with thoughtful touches like board games and art supplies readily available to add a playful element to your visit.

The menu supports the café’s dual personality—comfort food with a creative twist. Items like the chicken burger, cheesy fries, and cakes pair well with a well-made cappuccino or the refreshing orange mojito. Hot chocolate and snacks like fries and nuggets provide familiar flavors that appeal to both children and adults alike.

What makes Canvas and Beans different from your typical café is its focus on hands-on art activities. Visitors can choose from a range of items to paint—wooden pencil holders, peg dolls, canvas pieces, fridge magnets, and even glass bottles. This approach makes it an ideal spot if you want to spend time actively creating rather than just consuming. Art supplies are provided on site, and prices vary depending on the project, which works well for those curious to try painting without a big upfront commitment.

People who enjoy a casual, community-oriented café with an artistic edge will find Canvas and Beans particularly inviting. It’s well suited for local families seeking a calm, engaging place for kids’ creative outlets, groups looking for a relaxed hangout with something to do, or anyone wanting a low-key spot to unwind with good coffee and easy food. Visiting in the late afternoon or early evening works well, as the ambiance seems calm without feeling empty, and the staff’s friendly, helpful approach adds to the welcoming feel.

We had an amazing experience at this cafe. The food, the vibe everything was top notch. It is a very fun activity to do with your friends. Painting together while having delicious meals was a lovely experience. The place is very suitable for kids bday parties as well. Would definitely recommend. You will love the overall experience.

It is the perfect neighbourhood art cafe. My children enjoyed painting the pieces they chose. You can choose from a range of things to paint on from glass bottles to serving platters to plates etc. The price varies depending on the items you choose. Tried hot chocolate, fries, nuggets and pancakes. The hot chocolate was truly delicious and the fries were good. Sanjana was friendly and helpful. However, the service is extremely slow, and I really wish they would do something about it coz we would love to return.

Canvas and Beans is a small and cozy cafe. The ambience is pleasant, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We enjoyed our time here, and what made it even more special were the little touches—various board games to play and a fun painting offerings to choose from, that added a creative twist to the evening. Definitely worth visiting

We celebrated a birthday with a group of 18 children! We had a wonderful time. The art themed place was thoroughly enjoyable for all the kids. The entire afternoon was planned and the organisation from Karuna and team was spot on! They were not just well organised, but povided lots of input on organising the get together. The food was really good too!! It is a 100% recommendation for group events and hang out with kids.

When you need some quite space with light music and some great ambiance for spending some quality time with friends and family then this is the place. Food was good. Loved their white sauce pasta and the chef made it perfect. Happy to have a great conversation with the chef as their was less crowd when we went. Don’t forget to see the art work and you can choose to buy these art work if you like them.

A house that is converted into a restaurant. You get into car parking followed by hall, dining, bedrooms that has nicely been converted into seating for customers. There was absolutely no crowd when we went. The food is descent and lot of items in the menu however it would be a disaster if you go there when there is a crowd since they were taking ages to get the food delivered. Nothing is kept prepared but all of them freshly prepared. Lot of options for playing board games while waiting for food and option for art work is also available. Overall a nIce experience with descent food but don’t go if your patience is low or you are very hungry.
